Kantana, a leading media and entertainment group in Thailand, has signed an agreement making them beta test partner for Archivator, Cinevation’s ground-breaking solution for digital preservation. Kantana has the option to extend the Archivator partnership to other South East Asian countries.
“We are impressed by Cinevation’s innovative technology and look forward to testing its capabilities of preserving our digital material”, says Jaruek Kaljaruek, Chairman of the Board of Kantana Group.
“This is an important milestone for us”, comments Rune Bjerkestrand, Cinevation’s Managing Director. “After years of research and development, we are ready to bring Archivator to the market to fully test that all elements in the process works as intended and really solves the challenges related to digital preservation. We are delighted to do this in partnership with Kantana, which is such a well-reputed company in the Asian entertainment industry.”
Archivator is a turn-key solution for long-term preservation of valuable digital data, developed with support from the EU and the Norwegian Research Council, and is planned to be commercially launched in 2014.

Cinevation was featured in the opening conference of the Norwegian chairmanship in EUREKA, with a video clip made by the Research Council of Norway. The video focuses on Archivator, our coming solution for long-term preservation of digital data, and how it has been developed in a unique R&D project involving some of the most renowned European companies and research institutes within their sectors.
The “premiere” was attended by a proud delegation from Cinevation and received positive feedback from the conference attendants which included European business leaders and politicians.

Labodigital, based in Mexico City, offers a wide range of post-production services. Since 2012 they have also offered Direct-to-Print to clients in Latin America and the United States.
