Dunia opts for Archivator

We are proud to announce that we have signed an agreement with a new Archivator beta tester and partner; Dunia Production in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Dunia Production, established in 1994, is Saudi Arabia’s leading digital imaging production company. The company holds an amazing library of photographs, audio-visual contents and documents going back more than 70 years, and has a large internal need for secure, long-term preservation with Archivator. In addition they will provide preservation and storage services to a wide range of clientele in both the public and private sectors in Saudi Arabia.

Dunia has the option to extend its Archivator services to the Middle East region.

The agreement with Dunia comes in addition to the beta test and partner agreement that was signed in October with a major service provider in South East Asia; the Kantana Group headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand. “We are very grateful and pleased to have both Dunia and Kantana onboard for the Archivator journey”, comments Rune Bjerkestrand, Managing Director of Cinevation.

Archivator is a turn-key solution for long-term preservation of valuable digital data, developed with support from the EU and the Norwegian Research Council, and is planned to be commercially launched in 2014.
