Archiving conference in London

Conference in Istanbul

On the 20th of September, Cinevation together with Panavision 3D, Cinetech and CPC arranged a conference at the cinema AFM Istinye Park in Istanbul. Almost 50 professionals from the film industry in Turkey attended the conference which focused on the future of 35 mm film. During the conference the audience was presented new opportunities for the 3D exhibition on film and for the long-term archiving of broadcast media.

In addition they were presented a business case that showed how easy a d2p facility can be set up. The business case was presented by Andrey Kirk from CPC in Kiev, a success story we have presented in the previous newsletter. We were also very proud to present samples of a new movie shoot by the DOP Yusuf Aslanyurek. We would like to say a very big thank you to Yusuf and Andrey who also gave us great technical support during the conference.

And of course, thank you to all who attended the conference – we hope to see you again soon in wonderful Istanbul!

IBC in Amsterdam

At the beginning of September, the Cinevation team was present at IBC in Amsterdam. We were co-exhibiting with DFT, HS-Art and 101Media and we had a very busy show this year. There were more than 50,000 visitors attended IBC and even if not all of them stopped by our booth our booth, we met some good Cinevator friends over the 5 days of the show. We also had some promising meetings with potential new friends of our products. And, as always, to be in the center of the IBC buzz is very motivating for us.

A short summary of what we presented at IBC this year:
• The Cinevator Keeper; a new and unique concept for the archiving of digital media on film.
• Content Security; integration of proven and reliable release print watermarking technologies for Direct-to-Print
• The d2p process; a complete turnkey, fully managed solution that will take image, sound and subtitle data and create quality controlled 35mm prints with overall quality unrivalled in the current market.

We would like to thank everybody who stopped by our booth. We hope you were inspired by the new products and concepts that we presented. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you want more information on our products.
